Firefighters use stokes basket to rescue injured hiker from icy area near Bells Corners

An injured hiker was rescued by firefighters Sunday afternoon near Bells Corners.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to Bruce Pit around 4:37 p.m. after the hiker was one kilometre in from the parking lot on Cedarview Road, which was in an extremely icy area.
Firefighters used a stokes basket to package the patient, who was then brought out to safety just after 5 p.m.
