PSAC picket lines up at more than 250 locations across Canada

Tens of thousands of federal public servants are now on strike for more money and clarity around remote work arrangements.

The Public Service Alliance of Canada and the federal Treasury Board announced last night that a tentative contract agreement had not been reached by the union’s 9 p.m. deadline.

The union told a news conference in Ottawa that picket lines would be going up at more than 250 locations, including the following in Ottawa:

  • James Michael Flaherty Building (TB HQ) 90 Elgin
  • PMO 80 Wellington
  • MP Greg Fergus’s Office / Place du Portage 200 Promenade du PortageGatineau
  • MP Steven McKinnon’s Office 160 Boul. de l’hôpital Gatineau
  • Parliament Hill – West Block 3938 Wellington St
  • MP Mona Fortier’s Office 233 Montréal Rd
  • Tunney’s Pasture 100 Tunney’s Pasture Driveway
  • Canada Post Building 750 Heron
  • MP Marie-France Lalonde’s Office 255 Centrum Blvd

 

The strike involves 155,000 members, including 35,000 workers at the Canada Revenue Agency.
