OPP identify victims in Hawkesbury double homicide

The victims in a double homicide in Hawkesbury have been identified by police.

On Wednesday, April 19, the Sûreté du Québec, which was investigating a serious assault within its jurisdiction, advised of a possible crime scene in Ontario.

The Hawkesbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a home in Chute-à-Blondeau and found two people dead.

The victims have been identified following a post-mortem examination as Sherri Buchanan, 50, and Darren Chisholm, 24.

Gavin Chisholm, 22, of Chute-à-Blondeau, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

OPP confirmed to CityNews that the two victims were the mother and the brother of the person accused.
