NCC extends River House swimming season

The National Capital Commission (NCC) River House has extended its swimming season only on weekends until Oct. 1.
Swimming at the NCC River House will now be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. until the beginning of October.
On the social media platform X, the NCC said the water in the Ottawa River, where the house is located, will be tested regularly until the facility is closed for the season.
This past July, the NCC River House revitalization added a new dock that provides residents and visitors access to a world-class free public swimming area in the Ottawa River.
The NCC River House had lifeguards on duty every day until Labour Day Monday, and now, lifeguards will be available until Oct. 1.
