Police arrest one man in Carleton Place drug investigation

An investigation in Carleton Place has netted police an assortment of drugs and charges against one man.
Police said they arrested a man on Bridge Street on Wednesday, Sept. 6.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said its investigation of the man began earlier this year.
Lucas Arnott, 41, of no fixed address has been charged with:
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – cocaine two counts
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – opioid (other than heroin)
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – methamphetamine
- Possession of Schedule I substance for the purposes of trafficking – other drugs
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of a weapon
- Failure to comply with release order – other than to attend court
He was being held for a bail hearing.
