One person dies in Highway 174 collision

One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Ottawa’s east end on Friday, Sept. 15.
Highway 174 was closed in both directions between Cameron Street and Kinsella Road, but has since reopened.
Ottawa Paramedics Service told CityNews paramedics responded to the collision around 2:45 p.m. on Friday where at least one person was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A 65-year-old man from Cumberland, one of the drivers of one of the vehicles involved, died in the two-vehicle crash in Ottawa’s east end.
OPS confirm that the collision today on Hwy 174 was a fatality. A 65 yr old man from Cumberland was killed, and a subject who was arrested on scene suffered non life threatening injuries. The Collision Investigation Unit is investigating. As of 11:00 pm, all roads have been…

The other driver, who police said was arrested at the scene, was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident and have not yet spoken to police.
