Woman dies from house fire in south Ottawa

A woman has died as a result of a house fire in the south end of Ottawa.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) said fire crews responded to a residence on Bowesville Road between Earl Armstrong and Rideau roads on Thursday, Nov. 9.
OFS said it received a call at roughly 10 a.m. about smoke coming from a home in the area.
OFS spokesperson Nick DeFazio told CityNews Ottawa there has been no confirmation of any sort of explosion, and when firefighters arrived on scene, the home was engulfed from a fire that started in the garage.
One adult woman was trapped inside the home and was rescued by firefighters who performed CPR at the scene. She died from to her injuries after being taken to hospital.
Just after 10:30 a.m., conditions were severe to the point that firefighters had to evacuate the structure.
Two adult men were also injured and one was taken to hospital in stable condition and treated with smoke inhalation. Another man had minor injuries.
Bowesville Road between Rideau and Earl Armstrong roads were closed but have sinced reopened.
The Ontario Fire Marshall is now investigating the cause of the fire.
