OC Transpo announces milestone in the construction of O-Train east extension

OC Transpo revealed that 12.5 kilometres of new rail that will see trains run east from Blair Station into Orléans is now finished.

The major milestone in the construction of the O-Train Stage 2 east extension was announced by OC Transpo on X on Thursday, Nov. 23.

Now that the tracks are complete, OC Transpo said the catenary system will be done in 2024.

The eastern extension of Stage 2 of Ottawa’s light rain transit system (LRT) is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
