Despite having a 2-0 lead with under five minutes left in the second period, the Ottawa 67’s were still able to salvage a point in defeat.

Ottawa captain Luca Pinelli scored his 19th goal of the 2023-2024 OHL season, but the 67’s came up short against the visiting Flint Firebirds in an afternoon matchup at TD Place Arena on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Chris Barlas and Cooper Foster each had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime loss.

Max Donoso stopped 27 of 31 shots he faced in goal for Ottawa.

Ottawa has a quick turnaround as they host the North Bay Battalion for the annual ‘Teddy Bear Toss Game’ at home on Sunday at 2 p.m.
