Ottawa driver charged with stunt driving in Hawkesbury

A driver from Ottawa is facing charges after being caught speeding in Hawkesbury.

During the evening hours of Wednesday, Dec. 6, members of the Hawkesbury detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) clocked a driver going 174 km/h in a 100 km/h zone on Highway 417.

A 23-year-old man from Ottawa has been charged with stunt driving.

The vehicle was impounded for 14 days and the man’s license was suspended for 30 days.
