Ottawa expecting first snow of the year and a quick cold snap leading into the weekend

For those who have been looking forward to snow making an appearance in the nation’s capital, the national weather service predicts tonight will mark the first snowfall of the year.
Environment Canada is calling for 2 cm of flurries Wednesday evening and a low of minus 8 with the wind chill making it feel closer to minus 16 overnight.
Thursday, the national weather service predicts flurries will continue early in the morning before clearing. High of minus 6, with the evening low at minus 16.
Friday is expected to be cloudy with a high of minus 3, dropping to a low of minus 13 at night.
Going into the weekend, Environment Canada says to prepare for flurries starting Saturday night into Sunday morning.
Saturday cloudy with a daytime high of minus 8 and evening low of minus 10.
Sunday high of minus 5, cloudy in the evening with a low of minus 8.
