Power restored to city after multiple outages, over 20K affected

Ottawa’s electricity distributor said power has been restored to over 20,000 people in the city’s west end.

According to Ottawa Hydro’s outage map, the blackouts started around 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

In a social media post on X, the company said it affected the Kitchissippi, Bay and College wards.

They blamed a “loss of supply from the provincial grid” for the outages.

Power has since been restored to the 20,775 customers affected.
