Snowmobile accident kills 1, leaves another with serious injuries, says OPP

One person is dead and another is in hospital after a serious snowmobile crash on a trail in a township west of the capital.

Provincial police say emergency crews responded to a collision on a OFSC trail in the township of McNab-Braeside at around 4 p.m.

OPP say the 29 year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 33-year-old passenger was airlifted by Air ORNG to hospital with serious injuries.

Renfrew OPP says they’re continuing to investigate.

The OFSC trail remains closed.
