Kanata high school evacuated following threat, police deem it unfounded

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) say there is no longer an active threat following an investigation at a Kanata high school Friday morning.

OPS responded to an alleged threat to public safety at Holy Trinity Catholic High School. Officers arrived on scene following a call for service at approximately 7:48 a.m.

Students and school staff were evacuated to a nearby location as a safety precaution.

Police deemed the threat was unfounded around 12:00 p.m. and will not provide further information into the details of the type of threat made.

There were no injuries reported during the police response. Their investigation continues.
