Gatineau police seek suspect in series of break and enters at Aylmer construction site

Police are asking the public for help identifying the suspect in a series break and enters at a construction site in Aylmer.

According to Service de police de la Ville de Gatineau (SPVG), the break in happened around 1:15 a.m. on February 21, at a construction site on 90 rue de la Fabrique.

Police say the suspect entered a building under construction and damaged the security camera system.

The next day, the same suspect returned to the same location between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. and once again damaged a surveillance camera system and also stole around twenty spools of commercial electrical wire.

The suspect is described s:

  • White man
  • Approximately 5’10” tall (1.78 m)
  • Approximately 181 lbs. (82 kg)
  • Has a goatee with mustache
  • Wears glasses

Considering the size and weight of the spools of electrical wires taken from the scene, the SPVG has reason to believe the suspect used a vehicle for transport.

The investigation shows that the suspect could also be involved in similar thefts near Ottawa.
