OFS prevents Barrhaven kitchen fire from spreading

Ottawa Firefighters contained a kitchen fire Wednesday afternoon in the capital’s southwest end.
Ottawa Fire Service (OFS) says that at around 12:10 p.m., a resident from a two-storey single family home in the 100 block of Tripp Crescent reported their kitchen was on fire.
Fire crews arrived on scene and were told by the home owners that everyone got out safely.
Firefighters say the blaze was localized in the kitchen and was quickly extinguished. No injuries were reported.
An Ottawa Fire Investigator was dispatched to the scene.
