1 taken to hospital during east end fire

A person was taken to hospital without vital signs after being found by firefighters in a burning home east of downtown on Friday.
Ottawa Fire Service (OFS) says that at around 10:34 a.m. they received a 911 call about smoke coming from a two-storey attached row house in the 400 block of Brittany Drive.
Fire crews had to force the door to enter the home and found a resident who had no vital signs.
Firefighters began CPR on the victim before paramedics brought the victim to hospital.
Their condition is unknown.
Firefighters searched both the adjoining units for any possible victims and didn’t find anyone else.
A fire investigator was dispatched to the scene.
