Person identified in Banning Road ‘suspicious’ incident

The Ottawa Police Services (OPS) say a person involved in a “suspicious incident” with a child on Banning Road has been identified.

In Kanata, on April 30, people reported a man in his vehicle approached a person under the age of 16 who was walking along the roadway.

The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section say the young person was able to escape the encounter.

Thanks to the public’s help, police say the person involved in the incident has been identified.
