One person detained following police operation in Richmond

One person has been detained by police in Richmond.

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) was called to the area of Pacing Walk and Meynell Road early Tuesday morning.

Residents were asked to stay inside their homes, and other residents were asked to avoid the area.

The active police operation is now concluding, and residents can resume their normal activities.

However, expect an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
