O-Train partially shutting down Sunday for Stage 2 construction

A heads up to commuters in the nation’s capital.

O-Train Line 1 service will not operate between St-Laurent and Blair stations on Sunday, Aug. 25 while work on the Stage 2 O-Train East extension is completed.

The city says the partial closure is required to connect the existing train control systems to the expanded east extension.

Line 1 service will continue to operate in both directions between St-Laurent and Tunney’s Pasture stations, and full Line 1 service is set to resume on Monday, Aug. 26.

R1 replacement bus service will run between St-Laurent and Blair stations every 10 minutes and a shuttle will operate between St-Laurent and Cyrville stations every 15 minutes.

The city says transit staff will be on hand at key stations to assist customers.
