Police open homicide case after stabbing victim dies

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is now investigating a stabbing incident as a homicide after the victim died from his injuries.

It happened Sept. 23 in the area of Ira Morgan Way in the Village of Metcalfe.

Police confirmed two weeks later, the victim was Roger Dale Lusk, 66.

Officials say they believe there is no threat to safety.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the OPS Homicide Unit at 613-236-1222 ext. 5493. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-222-8477 or at crimestoppers.ca.
