Lanark Highlands resident charged with uttering threats against hunters

A resident of Lanark Highlands is facing charges after an incident involving threats against hunters.
The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to multiple calls reporting a man yelling at hunters in the Flower Station area, about 30 minutes south of Calabogie, on Saturday, Sept. 28.
According to the OPP, a man was making threats towards people and their vehicles, and two trucks sustained damage.
When officers arrived, the man had fled the area.
A 48-year-old man has since been located and charged with the following offences:
- Mischief under $5000 – two counts
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
The accused was released with a court date in Perth on Nov. 4.
