65-year-old charged with sexual assaults on OC Transpo buses

Police charged a 65-year-old Ottawa man following multiple sexual assaults on OC Transpo, which saw the accused touch victims inappropriately on a packed bus.

Between Sept. 1 and Oct. 22, the man approached several woman on different bus routes, police said. Many times this occurred when there was only standing room available on the bus.

The suspect would get close to victims and rub his genitals on them or touch them inappropriately, a press release reads.

On Nov. 12, Murray Wall, 65, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court later on Wednesday.

Officers believe there may be other incidents and they are seeking more people to step forward.
