Single-vehicle crash on Hwy. 417 leaves one man dead

One person is dead after a single-vehicle collision in Ottawa.

The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the crash on Highway 417 at Terry Fox Drive around 6 p.m. on Nov. 15.

The driver, a 65-year-old Ottawa man, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The highway was closed for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigator’s were on scene to conduct their investigation.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
