Youth in Orléans kidnapped, assaulted; police charge three in connection

A youth was picked up and driven to a residence in Orléans where police say they were assaulted and filmed as suspects demanded money.

This incident happened Oct. 21, a press release states. The next day, the victim was able to escape and alert someone to call police. Several days later, officials charged a 17-year-old in connection to the incident.

On Nov. 13, a search warrant was executed at the Orléans residence and as a result, police obtained further evidence to support charging two more people.

Stephanie Perron, 35, of Ottawa has been charged with:

  • Forceable confinement
  • Kidnapping
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
  • Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
  • Possession of child pornography
  • Sexual assault with a weapon
  • Sexual exploitation of a young person
  • Robbery

Faith Manzonzika, 20, of Ottawa has been charged with:

  • Forceable confinement
  • Kidnapping
  • Possession of a weapon for committing an offence
  • Possession of child pornography
  • Sexual assault with a weapon
  • Robbery
  • Breach of probation

The previous arrested 17-year-old, who will not be named, has been charged with:

  • Robbery with a weapon
  • Kidnapping
  • Forceable confinement
  • Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
  • Possession of child pornography
  • Breach of probation
  • Failure to comply with a sentence

Police are continuing the investigation and said in a press release further charges could be laid. Investigators are concerned there may be more victims, it reads.

There is a publication ban in effect on the case.
