5 to 10 cm of snow expected to fall in Ottawa. Here’s when.

The city is in store for more snow as a weather system is set to make its way across the province on Thursday.

According to Environment Canada, Wednesday is the calm before the storm. It is sunny with a high of -12 C but the lack of cloud coverage makes the wind chill closer to -21 C.

Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to -26 C, the weather agency’s website reads.

By Thursday morning snow should fall in the nation’s capital. It is expected to be between 5 to 10 centimetres by the end of the day.

The wind chill will hover around -24 C and warm to -8 C by the afternoon.
