Police search for two suspects in west end robbery and assault

Police are searching for two suspects believed to be involved in an assault and robbery. (OPS)

Ottawa Police is seeking assistance from the public in locating two additional suspects believed to be connected to a robbery and assault.

It happened on March 19 around 1:00 a.m. outside of a licensed establishment at 400 Hazeldean Rd.

Police say the suspects approached the victim while they were still in their vehicle. The suspects allegedly pulled the victim from the vehicle and assaulted them; at one point a weapon was used that caused serious injuries.

One person was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, robbery and forcible confinement.

The other two suspects remain unidentified.

Police describe suspect one as a White man, with short dark hair, seen wearing a black jacket with a white stripe and a white baseball cap. Suspect two is described as a White man, with short light hair seen wearing a black top.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Criminal Investigations Section at 613-236-1222, extension 2666 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
