A third person has been identified in connection with a suspicious death in a Perth park.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged Michael Lewis, 46, of Perth with conspiracy to commit murder under the Criminal Code. He remains in custody and was expected in court on May 12.
The accused is one of three people police are charging in the investigation where an Ottawa man was found dead in Last Duel Park.
On April 12, police responded around 3:15 p.m. to the park along the river in the town about 80 kilometres southwest of the nation’s capital. There, they found Christo Allison Richards with life-threatening injuries. The 34-year-old was rushed to a trauma centre but later died.
Several days later, police charged two people with second-degree murder but said both are outstanding.
Now officials believe one of their suspects, Joseph Madore, 34, is currently in British Columbia and say he has connections to the Richmond, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Terrace areas.
They say the second suspect, Brayton Kennedy, 28, may be travelling with him in B.C. or could still be in the Ottawa area.
