Arrest warrant issued for 24-year-old after vehicle theft, property damage

Police are looking for a 24-year-old man after multiple incidents in Lanark County and Smiths Falls occurred.

Officers were called on April 17 around 1:00 a.m. to a home in Mississippi Mills, Ont. There, police were told a person broke in, destroyed property, and left the area in a black Nissan Versa with either no plates or stolen plates on the car.

Shortly after, police got a call from an officer in Smiths Falls, who said the vehicle was at a gas station. That officer tried to block the vehicle in before the driver “deliberately” crashed into the cruiser and drove off, officials wrote in a press release.

An investigation led police to believe the same person involved is also a suspect in a property damage incident on April 15, where several people were assaulted.

As a result, officers are issuing an arrest warrant for Dylan Greene, 24, of Lanark County.

Although officials say there is no risk to public safety, police said anyone who sees Greene should not approach him and instead call 911.
