Man faces ‘numerous’ offences after police search Carlington home

Officers found an illegal gun in an Ottawa home and laid multiple charges on a man.

The incident happened April 13, as police responded to a disturbance at a house in the 1200 block of Dorchester Avenue in Ottawa’s Carlington neighbourhood. After dealing with the situation, police returned the next day with a search warrant for the home.

Inside, officers found an illegal firearm and charged the man in his 40s with offences such as:

He was held in custody.

“The Ottawa Police Service encourages anyone with information about illegal and illegally held firearms in our community to please report them to the Ottawa Police Service at 613-236-1222,” the press release reads.
