Police seize almost 400 bottles of liquor in bust

Charges were laid against the owners of a downtown business after police found they were violating the law.
Officers from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), bylaw and police conducted a joint operation on April 12 at a lounge in the 100 block of Laurier Avenue West.
Police were investigating compliance with the Liquor Licence and Control Act and the Smoke-Free Ontario Act. The probe revealed to officials that the venue was operating unlicensed and actively serving alcohol and using hookahs indoors.
