Two pedestrians struck, 1 dead, in serious collision in east Ottawa

Emergency personnel were on scene for a serious collision where two people were struck by a car on Tuesday afternoon in Ottawa’s east end.

Police said in a post that the collision happened on Innes Road between Tenth Line Road and Portobello Boulevard in Orléans. A large swatch of Innes Road has been closed for the investigation.

Paramedics told CityNews in an email that they responded around 2:10 p.m.

The two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle and one, an adult, succumbed to their injuries on scene, officials said. The other, an adult female, has been sent to hospital in critical condition.

The three people in the vehicle were sent to hospital for assessment in stable condition.

Officials are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward with dashcam footage or speak to police.
