A Cornwall man is facing a licence suspension and charges of impairment and careless storage of ammunition after passing out behind the wheel.
It happened on July 20 around 7 a.m. when Brockville police received a 9-1-1 call about two people passed out in a vehicle near a gas station on Stewart Boulevard.
When officers arrived, they located the individuals and found a bong in the lap of the driver. The driver was identified as a 44-year-old male from Cornwall.
The individuals underwent a Standard Field Sobriety Test and performed poorly. The driver was arrested and taken to the Brockville Police Service for additional testing by a Drug Recognition Expert.
Upon searching the vehicle, officers also found firearm ammunition that was improperly stored.
The driver’s licence has been suspended after being charged with operation while impaired by drugs and careless storage of ammunition. He was released with a future court date.
