Salvation Army launches Kettle Campaign

OTTAWA – The Salvation Army has officially launched its 125th kettle campaign.

During the Christmas season, 48 kettles are set up across the city, mainly in front of stores and shopping centres.

All money raised goes to support local families in need, as well as the emergency disaster services program. Last year, the Salvation Army raised $22 million through the campaign.

This year, you’re also asked to hit social media and tell all your friends why you decided to donate to the campaign, using the hashtag #IFilledTheKettle.

You can also share your story on Facebook here.
