Actor Bill Paxton dies at age 61

Actor Bill Paxton has died following complications from surgery. He was 61.
“It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery,” read a statement read a statement released by his family.
“Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable.”
Paxton’s acting career spanned four decades and including a string of hits, including “Twister,” “Titanic,” “Aliens” and “Apollo 13”. He was also a three-time Golden Globe nominee for his role in HBO’s critcally acclaimed series “Big Love”.
Paxton was nominated for an Emmy for his work in “Hatfields and McCoys.” He was appearing on the CBS series, “Training Day” at the time of his death.
