An apparent case of road rage has led to charges against a man from Perth.

Around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a male driver pointing a black hand-gun out the window of their car on County Road 43 in Drummond-North Elmsley Township.

Police say the incident happened after a brief verbal argument. After investigating, a replica handgun was seized without incident.

Following an investigation, Jacob Fairhurst, 20, was charged with pointing a firearm.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Perth on Monday, April 25.
