UPDATE: One man in critical condition after crash closes Vanier Parkway in Overbrook

One person has been extricated from a vehicle and rushed to hospital after a collision on Vanier Parkway near Queen Mary Street in Overbrook.

Ottawa Paramedics say nine people were inside the two vehicles which crashed before 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 20.

A man in his 20s was taken to hospital in critical condition. Paramdics say the other eight people were treated at the scene but did not go to hospital.

Vanier Parkway has been closed both directions between Donald Street and Coventry Road.
