Police determine two men killed in east end shot each other in parked car

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Homicide Unit has determined that a shooting that took place earlier this month in the Orléans area that resulted in the deaths of two men was caused by an exchanged of gunfire between them. 
 
The two men were both seated inside a car at the time of the incident, which took place on Oct. 5 in the area of Tompkins Avenue and Tenth Line Road. 
 
One man was found dead at the scene and a second man was found with critical injuries and rushed to hospital where he later died.

A third man suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was treated in hospital and released. 
 
Police have identified the deceased as Krishel Kanin Murphy-Nimblett, 28, and Mohamed Omar Mohamed, 23, both of Ottawa.

The OPS said no suspects are being sought, and the investigation leading up the shooting continues.
