Six arrested in Lanark County drug raids

Six people are facing drug-related charges after Ontario Provincial Police officers searched five properties in Lanark County .

Search warrants were executed on two residences and one vehicle in the Town of Carleton Place, one home in the Town of Perth and one in the Township of Lanark Highlands.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officers from CFB Petawawa were called to safely deal with explosives discovered at one location.

Officers uncovered cocaine, marijuana, marijuana oil, hashish, morphine and oxycocet pills. Officers also seized Canadian Currency and an Audi passenger vehicle.

William Scharf, 68, of the Township of Lanark Highlands is charged with:

– Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to a Probation Order.
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking Contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Kenneth Gibson, 39, of the Town of Perth is charged with:

– Fail to Comply with a Probation Order Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking Contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Mary Gordon, 64, of the Township of Lanark Highlands is charged:

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking Contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

All three were released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

Kay St. Pierre, 39, of the Town of Carleton Place is charged:

– Possession of Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to a Probation Order.
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
– Fail to Comply with a Probation Order. (two counts)
– Fail to Comply with a recognizance Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.
– Possession of Cannabis Resin for the Purpose of Trafficking.
– Produce Cannabis Marihuana Contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

Barbara Wilson, 54, of the Town of Perth is charged:

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.
– Fail to Comply with a Probation Order Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. (three counts)
– Possession of Cannabis Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking.
– Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking Contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

She was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

James Fortin, 52, of the Town of Carleton Place is charged:

– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
– Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
– Possession of Oxycocet.
– Possession of Hydromorphone Contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.
