Windsor man charged in Ottawa commercial robbery spree

A 32-year-old Windsor man is facing armed robbery charges after an Ottawa police investigation which linked a handful of commercial robberies across the city.
The first incident was reported on Watters Road at Trim Road in Orleans on May 8. That was followed by a robbery at the Bayshore Mall on June 9. A third incident was reported on June 29, on Meadowbrook Road, in a neighbourhood near where Blair Road meets the Queensway. Finally, Ottawa police responded to a robbery on St. Laurent Boulevard at Donald Street on July 2.
Samuel Nana-Effah is charged with:
- Armed robbery (three counts)
- Robbery
- Possession of a weapon (two counts)
- Theft of credit card
He will be attending show cause court Friday.
