Ottawa's Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre Foundation is celebrating the largest philanthropic gift in its history.
It's announcing on Tuesday, June 15, that $2-million from Commissionaires Ottawa will give a major boost to the Perley Rideau's Centre of Excellence in Frailty-Informed Care.
The centre says the investment will accelerate applied research in caring for aging seniors and veterans.
“Residents at the Perley Rideau are expected to benefit from improved care and quality of life, and many more Canadians will be positively impacted as the Centre of Excellence shares lessons and best practices with the wider community, ultimately becoming Canada’s leader for excellence in the care of the elderly,” writes the Perley Rideau in a statement to CityNews Ottawa.
