Ottawa police search for suspect in O-Train swarming

Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Criminal Investigations Unit is asking for the public’s assistance to identify a suspect involved in a swarming assault at a downtown O-Train station.

Police said a man at Rideau Station was approached by a group of suspects who proceeded to assault him around 11:30 p.m. on Monday, March 27. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Officers arrested three suspects at the time of the assault, and they have since been charged.

But OPS are now looking to identify a fourth suspect, who they describe as:

  • a light-skinned man
  • in his 20s to 30s
  • has a short beard and moustache.

At the time of the assault, he wore a tan tuque, a black Moose Knuckles jacket with a gold Moose Knuckles logo on the arm and a yellow Los Angeles Lakers hoodie underneath, black pants, and black shoes.
