City postponing online registration for fall non-aquatic programs

The City of Ottawa is postponing its registration for fall non-aquatic programs due to computer glitches.
Registration was scheduled to open this evening.
“Following ongoing discussions with the vendor it cannot be confirmed that the issues that occurred on Monday have been resolved to support the peak volumes of registration night,” said Dan Chenier, general manager, recreation, cultural and facility services with the City in a memo to city councillors. “While this was a difficult decision to make, it is the recommendation of the vendor, and our priority is to ensure that the resident experience is a positive one.”
This comes on the heels of many parents having trouble registering their children for fall swimming lessons on Monday, Aug. 14 and were plagued by computer issues.
A new date will be announced soon.
Please note: due to the ongoing technical issues with the registration system, today’s registration for #OttCity‘s fall 2023 recreation activities has been postponed.
A new date will be announced shortly.
