OPP warning residents in Hawkesbury about snow removal scam

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is warning residents living in Hawkesbury about an active scam involving an individual pretending to offer snow removal services.

Provincial police said multiple victims in the East Hawkesbury and Vankleek Hill areas have been charged “deposit fees” ranging from $200 to $400.

The OPP is urging people to not give their personal or financial information over the phone.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
