Gatineau police searching for suspect vehicle involved in teen hit-and-run

The Gatineau police are looking for a vehicle in relation to a hit-and-run involving a teen girl driving a moped.

Police determined that the driver of the moped, who was travelling on Boulevard Saint-René heading west, was struck by a larger vehicle travelling on Boulevard de l’Hôpital heading north.

The driver of that vehicle quickly left the scene without helping the girl who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The police service is now working to locate the suspect vehicle involved. It is described as:

  • Ford F series (250 or 350) Super Duty
  • Four doors
  • Grey
  • Logo on the door suggests the truck could be equipped with a diesel engine
  • Set of running boards
  • Door handles vertical
  • At the time of the crash, a large ladder was in the back box

The SPVG (Gatineau police) is asking anyone with information to contact its info line at 819 243-4636, option 5.

Police are also thanking all those who stayed on scene to help the victim, and witnesses who have assisted with the investigation.
