OPP nab 3 impaired drivers on Valentine’s Day in Lanark County

It was a busy Valentine’s Day for Lanark County OPP, who charged three separate drivers with impaired driving-related charges in the span of three and a half hours.
The first incident occurred around 6 p.m. when officers on patrol on McDonald Corners Road in Tay Valley Township located a vehicle in the ditch.
Officers spoke with the male driver, who was then arrested and transported to the detachment for testing.
As a result, 31-year-old Riley Drummond has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration above 80.
Approximately two hours later, officers received a complaint of a vehicle in the ditch on Roger Stevens Drive in Montague Township.
The driver, a 46-year-old male, was transported to the detachment for testing.
As a result, James Sweet has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration above 80, and careless driving.
Just after 9:30 p.m., officers were back in action one more time when a vehicle was reported in the ditch on Hands Road in Drummond-North Emsley Township.
Responding officers transported the 69-year-old female driver to the detachment for testing.
Diane Tuttle has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration above 80.
All three drivers had their licenses suspended for 90 days and vehicles impounded for seven days. Each driver will appear in court at a later date.
