Poll reveals top issues concerning Ontarians

OTTAWA – Pocketbook issues are top of mind for Ontario residents, according to the results of the latest Abacus Data poll.
According to the poll, 39 per cent said job creation ranked first while 32 per cent felt it was economic development. Health care wait times and government accountability came in with 31 per cent.
David Coletto of Abacus Data tells 1310News, there is a silver lining for the P.C’s.
“The Progressive Conservatives come slightly ahead of the Ontario Liberals and that’s an important factor,” Coletto said. “We saw it in British Columbia; the party that was most trusted ended up winning that election.”
When it came to the economy, just 8 per cent felt the New Democrats were best to handle the file.
The poll also finds that 51 per cent of Ontarians felt the economy was “OK.”
