Car flips into house after hitting hydro pole in Barrhaven

Ottawa paramedics say one person suffered multi-system trauma and is in hospital after slamming their car into a hydro pole and rolling it into a house in Barrhaven.

The incident happened on Longfields Drive at Paul Metivier Drive, at 1:32 p.m., Monday, July 13.

Firefighters extinguished the burning vehicle as paramedics treated the driver, who had gotten out of the vehicle.

The condition of the driver is not known.

It is also unclear exactly what lead to the single-vehicle crash.
