Catherine McKenney disclosing list of donors

A mayoral candidate for the 2022 municipal election has announced they will disclose a full list of donors who have contributed to their campaign.
Catherine McKenney, one of 14 candidates vying to be Ottawa's next mayor, said in a news release they will reveal the names of people who have contributed more than $100 to their campaign.
The list will be released on Oct. 10, two weeks before the municipal election.
McKenney said voters have the right to know who is financially supporting a candidate before they cast their ballots.
The announcement builds on McKenney's longstanding practice of not accepting campaign contributions from developers.
