Emergency crews have pulled a dog from frigid local waters, the second such rescue in as many days.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to Hogs Back Park on the evening of Tuesday, March 22, where a dog had fallen in at the Prince of Wales Falls.

OFS says the dog was rescued and picked up by Ottawa Bylaw to be reunited with its owner.

Residents are reminded to keep dogs on a leash.

On Monday, two men and a dog were pulled from the fast-moving, frigid waters of the Rideau River in Manotick.

OFS said the men had been trying to retrieve their dog, who had run onto the ice and fallen through.
